Haida NanoPro U-LR Magnetic X in 1 Filter

I had the pleasure of testing the Haida Magnetic X filter kit for several weeks in a variety of conditions and locations – from landscape and urban photography to outdoor portrait sessions in changing weather and at different times of day. After this period, I can confidently say it is one of the most refined and practical filter systems I have had the opportunity to work with. The kit includes the X-in-1 Body CPL-VND (1–5 stops), Magnetic Enhancer (3–7 stops), Magnetic Mist Black 1/4, Magnetic Adapter Ring, Magnetic Lens Cap, and a Filter Case. It is a complete set that combines several key tools into one system, significantly increasing its versatility. From the very first use, the magnetic mounting system makes a strong impression. Filters can be swapped almost instantly without the need for threading, which in practice greatly speeds up workflow and makes on-location adjustments intuitive and effortless. The X-in-1 Body CPL-VND (1–5 stops) offers great flexibility by combining a circular polarizer with a variable ND filter. In everyday use, I appreciated its versatility as well as its solid control over exposure and reflections, especially in landscape, urban, and outdoor portrait photography. The Magnetic Enhancer (3–7 stops) provides a stronger light reduction range, offering more creative freedom when working with long exposures or in bright sunlight. Together with the rest of the system, it creates a very flexible and capable setup. The Magnetic Mist Black 1/4 adds a subtle cinematic character to images. It gently softens highlights and reduces digital sharpness without sacrificing detail. Importantly, it can also introduce a slightly dreamy atmosphere in landscape and urban photography, especially during sunrise when the light is soft and low. It also works very well in portrait photography, where it gently smooths skin tones and gives images a more organic, cinematic feel without an overdone softening effect. The Magnetic Adapter Ring, Magnetic Lens Cap, and Filter Case complete the system, making it not only highly functional but also convenient and well-protected during transport. After a good few weeks of intensive testing, I can give this kit a very positive feedback. The Haida Magnetic X is a thoughtfully designed, well-built filter system that genuinely improves workflow in the field and offers a high degree of flexibility across a wide range of photographic situations. It’s one of those setups that just makes things easier, especially when you’re trying to work quickly and not miss the moment. This kit has now become one of the essential tools in my camera bag.
